Dr. Brian Wind, an ophthalmologist with offices in North Canton and Massillon, seemed to have perfect timing.
A device he began working on in 2010 to stop the spread of bacterial and viral infections was finally set to hit the market this month, just as Americans faced the novel coronavirus, COVID-19.
Yet ironically, the coronavirus has delayed production of his invention called Steri-Write. It’s a touchless dispenser of sanitized pens and other instruments often used and reused by the public to sign forms and computer screens in doctors’ offices, banks, groceries and other places.
